Death Penalty Coalition Uses Pro-Abort
The Kentucky Coalition Against The Death Penalty employs a "deathscort", a man who actively promotes death for babies in the womb, for their marketing.  While some members of the Coalition use the "consistent life ethic" argument to criticize opponents of abortion for not always opposing war and the death penalty, the Coalition itself employs a man who actively supports killing unborn babies!  In its spring 2006 newsletter the Catholic Conference of Kentucky proudly announced that the Coalition will use Doug Stern for its marketing.

Our Question:       Since Doug Stern of Louisville actively promotes abortion, are not Father Pat Delahanty and Sr. Chris Beckett SCN, complicit by silence or cooperation?

Mother's day at Abortion mill

5/9/09 An estimated 250 people came out for the Mother's Day Memorial to the EMW abortion mill at 2nd and Market streets in Louisville. Nearly 50 recently recruited pro-choice activists also came out to protect the mothers from pro-life information. Initially, the "escorts" tried to blockade the sidewalk to limit pro-lifer access around the clinic entrance. The police initially defended the obstruction of the passageway (a violation of KRS 525.140.) Eventually the officers were convinced by pro-lifers that the laws apply even to pro-abortion escorts, and they opened the sidewalks again. The clinic escorts were clearly encouraged by the progress they are making with the Obama administation and by the apathy of most citizens. There was a crew os ABC's 20/20 program to film the gathering. The report is to be aired at 10:00 p.m. on June 30th. From the choices of scenes it was clear that the film crew was supportive on the pro-abortion group. In an interview, when Donna Durning began to tell about lawsuits against the clinic, the leader of the film crew instructed 'kill the camera." Photos courtesy Catholics in Action.

UL Cards for Life host abortion debate.

1/15/09     Louisville Cards For Life, led by Jesse Kenney, organized a two hour face off between pro-choice Bioethicist, Dr. Paul Simmons, and pro-life talk show host Mr. Mike Janocik, Asst. Director of Ky Right to Life. Janocik argued the personhood of the unborn based upon its identity as a unique human being. Dr. Williams argued that a child becomes a person upon "acceptance and love of it by its mother". When she recognizes and accepts it, it becomes a person", he said.

Bishops approve blessing service for children in the womb

11/11/08     U.S. bishops have approved a liturgical service in English and Spanish for blessing children in the womb. Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz of Louisville, Ky., praised the new blessing as "a tangible way to witness pastorally and sacramentally to the life of the unborn child" and said it could also serve as an opportunity for parishes to bring together expectant couples for mutual support. The document must be sent to the Vatican Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments for "recognitio," or confirmation.

Archdiocese "Respect Life Coordinator" Household Supports Only Pro-Abortion Politicians

Louisville, Ky. The Respect Life Coordinator for the Archdiocese of Louisville, Helen Rothgerber, is the person who lectures and teaches on the need to protect life "from conception to natural death." In the front yard of her home, just before the 2008 election, the political signs are all for pro-abortion candidates. Alongside the political signs is a hand drawn sign with the words, "Harry's Choices", portraying Harry's wife as having no political voice or input into the household's public political stance.
